Position Overview

The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Assisted Living programs at Bonnie Place, Martin Place, and John Rhodes Residence. This includes supervising staff, managing schedules, handling employee relations, and supporting operational needs.


Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Operations

  • Supervise Personal Support Workers and admin staff.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, vacations, and call-ins.
  • Lead daily huddles and team meetings.
  • Handle basic client issues and inquiries.
  • Maintain program audits, surveys, and documentation.
  • Participate in union-related discussions and apply collective agreements.
  • Perform data entry (Procura), payroll prep, and petty cash management.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call duties.

Training

  • Deliver orientation and retraining.
  • Ensure completion of mandatory training.
  • Document training records collaboratively.

Reporting

  • Collect and report key program indicators.
  • Generate reports and conduct trend analysis.

Qualifications

  • Required: RN or RPN education, CNO registration, 1–3 years in a similar role, supervisory experience, MS Office proficiency, vulnerable sector check, TB test.
  • Preferred/Assets: Experience with Procura, medical terminology, online training platforms, union environments, and community support roles.

Other Details

  • Job Class: Full-time/Part-time, Days/Flex shifts.
  • Travel: Regular local travel between sites.
  • Language: French is an asset, not required.
  • Union Status: Non-union.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • A university or college level education in a Regulated health profession such as RN or RPN, required
  • Current and unrestricted registration with CNO,  required
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a similar role, required
  • Previous Supervisory experience, required
  • Previous RN, RPN, PSW, Social Work, or Community Support experience, preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), required
  • Previous experience using scheduling programs (e. g. Procura), preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
  • Previous experience with an on-line training platform, an asset
  • Previous union environment experience, an asset
  • Vulnerable sector police check at time of hire, annual declaration, required
  • 2 step TB test at time of hire, required
